Carry On ... nothing to look at here

Man, let's just get back to normal. Please excuse the mess. Some of you have asked what happened and it wasn't a big deal, but I wasn't comfortable with my dentist knowing my blog. So I dug in and I'm starting over. All the old posts are here, but I need to rework the "favorites" that Groovy asked for. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Good News!!! I have a new project guitar. I got a guitar for FREE! My niece's ex husband had an old Peavy Raptor guitar in her garage. So I get to strip it down and re-finish it. I'm going with my idea and doing a sunburst design.

The guitar made it through Hurricane Katrina. My niece was in Pascagula, MS when the hurricane hit. They lived on the 3rd floor of the apartment, so you can see how the saltwater took it's tolls on screws. Little bits of rust are on it, so I'll need to buy new screws. Not sure I want to keep much else. I'll take out the two single coil pickups and get a new humbucker to fit in the rear. Get a black pickguard and away we go.

Half of you just fell asleep. Here are some boobs and a fireman.

And here's some Mercy Me with a good rendition of "Where The Streets Have No Name".

That, my friend, is a bad-ass guitar. Especially to have been through nature's wrath like it has.

I'd love to see an after picture.

Oh man. I want to do my laundry on that fireman's stomach. Purrr.

Scratch: Ya, I think it's going to last a while. I'm torn between doing the sunburst or something a little more "bad-ass". I really like Brad Gillis' red guitar. Or even a skull and cross bones which is something I really like. But I think I'll stick with the sunburst for now. I will definitely do soem before and afters on this project.

Tink: Not sure he folds, but I bet he fluffs.

Oh, and where did you find that picture of Trevor from his days as a fireman? :P

Deals: You know Trevor ... never the shy one in front of the camera.
