So this post is kind of Biblical. Now that I've lost half of you ...Anyway, seems there are homeless people in F0rt W0rth. Oh no ... can't be true ... well it is and this article proves it.
Not sure how I feel about these people denying the services of a shelter over tents. Kind of odd.
The other thing I was curious about was the so called "Good Samaritan", specifically this quote, "But now, they have to go, the upshot of good intentions from good samaritans. They brought food, blankets and better tents to the encampment."
I don't think that's being a good Samaritan. The real Good Samaritan did find the guy on the road. Then he took him to an inn, told the inn keeper to take care of him and provide for his needs.
These people gave them tents. In a sense, they just handed them some food and said, "Errr, ugghhh, good luck!?!?!"
The good Samaritan saw the whole thing through, he was committed, and I think what these people did was good for a short time, but not really helpful beyond their immediate need.
That's why I have a problem with churches building big 9 brazillion dollar auditoriums instead of vocational schools for the homeless.

Have you stayed an evening in one of those shelters? I wouldn't. I would far prefer a tent if it came to that. I don't care how cold it is.
Hey man, I can afford to give someone a blanket or food if they need it but I'm not going to put myself in a tent so they can stay in a hotel. That doesn't add up.
hmm isn't that the guy with the radio voice?
